Job summary

Mainstreet Equity Corporation is seeking a Residential Maintenance Technician to perform building maintenance across our residential multifamily properties. The role includes routine handyman work, boiler/HVAC upkeep and carpentry tasks, with on-call shifts on a rotating basis.

Applicants should have a minimum of two years in handyman work, live in or near Calgary, and possess a valid driver’s license. A security clearance is required, and advancement opportunities exist within a growing

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of general handyman experience.
• Experience in minor plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, drywall.
• Soldering and troubleshooting appliances.
• Flexible to work regular hours and on-call weekends/after hour emergencies on rotation.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
• Must successfully complete a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• General handyman duties- minor plumbing, electrical repairs and maintenance
• Inspection and maintenance of boilers, HVAC etc.
• General carpentry, installation of blinds, fixing doors, locks, cabinets etc., drywall, tiling and painting
• Be available for on- call on a rotating schedule to deal with problems that occur after hours and/or weekends
• Manage tenants' maintenance requests including proper follow up to ensure satisfaction and completion

Position Summary

Maintenance Technician is responsible for all building maintenance related duties within their assigned location(s) within a residential multi-family setting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
