Job description

Agilus is recruiting for a Contract Intermediate Property Analyst in the oil & gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.

Responsibilities:

1. Full cycle of production accounting, including all aspects of production, revenue, and royalty reporting completed accurately and meeting all deadlines.
2. Analysis of production, revenue, royalties, and reconciling items to the general ledger.
3. Review new properties configuration and flow changes.
4. Review and implement all changes impacting properties because of regulatory changes, measurement, allocations, and audits.
5. Ability to review operating agreements and marketing contracts to ensure the accurate handling of allocations and equalizations.
6. Actively participate, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide support in desk reviews and property audits.
7. Assist operational teams with accounting and reporting. Help with annual EPAP testing for AB & SK LTCHO facilities.
8. Review master file setup and changes to ensure compliance with governing regulations (EVAP, EPAP, and SOX).

Successful candidates will have:

1. 8+ years of experience in full cycle production accounting. CAPPA Certificate would be preferred.
2. Extensive experience with Alberta and Saskatchewan conventional heavy oil properties, fuel gas, proration facilities.
3. Solid knowledge of allocations, measurement, audit, and processes.
4. Strong analytical skills.
5. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) to liaise effectively with Finance, Operations, Emissions, and Engineering teams.
6. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, changing environment that is deadline-driven.
7. Well-organized with proven multitasking and prioritization skills.
8. Experience using Production Accounting System (Metrix), Petrinex, Field Data Capture System (PVR), ERP System (SAP), Land System (CS Land), and Spotfire reports.
