Property Accountant - Bilingual

This position involves providing financial support to Canadian Retirement homes, with key responsibilities including:

  • Producing accurate property-level financial reports in accordance with set procedures;
  • Providing financial analysis and support to management;
  • Reviewing financial statements for accuracy;
  • Distributing financial packages and discussing variances;
  • Preparing bank reconciliations and regulatory filings;
  • Assisting in audits and property integrations;
  • Supporting financial planning and process improvements;
  • Performing special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience;
  • University degree in Business/Finance or related field;
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA) or equivalent experience;
  • Proficiency in French and knowledge of IFRS and Canadian GAAP;
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel;
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated and detail-oriented.
