Job Description

The Opportunity: WSP is currently seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our Municipal Engineering team in Vancouver or Langley, British Columbia. Reporting to the Manager, Land Development and Municipal Engineering, this role involves working on projects for public clients, leading transportation projects such as roadway infrastructure and drainage, including planning, design, and construction services.

WSP’s LDME team is a collaborative group with longstanding relationships with developers, Municipalities, Townships, and Cities. The team manages complex projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from conceptual planning and design to construction management and client hand-over.

As a Project Manager, you will oversee multiple projects across the Lower Mainland, develop project delivery strategies, and manage financial and technical aspects from proposal to construction and client hand-over.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and contribute to transportation studies and design activities
  • Coordinate with clients, project teams, and authorities
  • Lead transportation design projects
  • Manage project delivery to meet client expectations and standards
  • Prepare proposals and engage in business development
  • Oversee project finances
  • Mentor and develop staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in transportation design
  • Professional Engineer designation with EGBC
  • Experience in design, project management, and construction
  • Excellent client management and communication skills
  • Strong financial and project management skills
Compensation:

Salary range in British Columbia: $113,500 - $156,000. Final salary depends on education, experience, skills, and organizational needs.
