The Opportunity:

WSP is currently seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our Municipal Engineering team in Vancouver or in Langley, British Columbia. Reporting to the Manager, Land Development and Municipal Engineering, this position will be responsible for working on projects for public clients, leading transportation projects, including roadway infrastructure and drainage projects, from planning and design to construction services.

WSP’s LDME team is a close-knit, collaborative group with longstanding relationships with developers, Municipalities, Townships, and Cities. The team handles projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from conceptual planning and design to construction management and client hand-over.

As a Project Manager, your responsibilities will include managing multiple projects across the Lower Mainland, developing project delivery strategies, and overseeing financial and technical aspects from proposal to project completion, including business development and client management.

What you can expect to do:
  • Contribute to transportation studies, planning, and design for municipal roads and transit projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, project teams, and authorities to develop effective solutions.
  • Lead transportation design projects, including municipal, transit, and private developments.
  • Manage project delivery to meet client expectations and standards.
  • Prepare proposals and engage in business development.
  • Manage project budgets and finances.
  • Mentor and develop staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive transportation design and project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer license with EGBC.
  • Experience in design, project management, and construction.
  • Strong client management, communication, and financial skills.

Compensation: Salary range in British Columbia: $113,500 - $156,000. Final salary depends on experience, qualifications, and other factors.
