An established industry player is seeking a seasoned Project Manager with extensive experience in large IT projects. This role involves leading complex software development initiatives, managing budgets over 25 million, and collaborating with diverse teams to deliver successful outcomes. REMOTE : Local to Western Canada, Alberta, British Columbia or Ontario working Western Time Zone.
Provincial or Federal Government experience preferred.
Authorized to work in Canada.
Security clearance is required or the ability to obtain one through us.
10 years of related large IT project experience involving budgets over 25M.
University graduation in business, management, or a related discipline, along with 4 years of Project Management (PM) experience.
PMP certification
Experience working as a Project Manager on large, complex software application development projects similar in size and complexity to those of the Government of Canada.
Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
Experience defining project vision, scope, and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.
Experience developing project deliverables such as project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs, and project closures.
Experience managing custom application development projects with at least 5 team members.
Experience successfully implementing IT solutions in environments with resources from multiple teams or organizations.
Experience developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships, including with executive-level stakeholders.
Experience leading project governance, change management, and communication activities.
Experience working in or for the public sector.
Experience managing Mandated and Legislated Projects within short timelines.
Experience making decisions on highly technical or complex business issues without formal guidelines, demonstrating resourcefulness.
Experience with End User Computing (EUC) processes.
Understanding of the complexities of Federal / Provincial jurisdiction.
Experience working with technical teams on complex IMT projects.
Experience conducting, facilitating, and interpreting impact and risk assessments.
Experience creating and managing project forecasts and budgets.
Currently active PMP or PGMP Certification issued by the Project Management Institute or an equivalent (please attach a copy).
Related Canadian education (certificate, diploma, or degree) is preferred.
