Job summary

BELFOR Canada is seeking a Project Manager to lead emergency and restoration projects from start to finish, driving revenue and ensuring client satisfaction. You will assess sites, prepare estimates, and act as the main point of contact for clients, adjusters, and consultants while building strong relationships that enable successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management in construction/restoration or insurance.
• Proficient with Xactimate/XactAnalysis.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead restoration projects from start to finish within budgets, timelines and quality expectations.
• Assess damage, prepare estimates, floor plans, and documentation in Xactimate and related tools.
• Secure work authorizations, deposits, permits, and inspections for smooth delivery.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, insurers and consultants with clear updates.
• Lead site meetings, coordinate field staff and subcontractors, and maintain safe sites.
• Oversee project finances including billing and payments, and ensure insurance/legislative compliance.
• Support business development through client engagement and industry events.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies to ensure timely service.
• Mentor team members to drive project success.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Overview

As a Project Manager at BELFOR, you'll lead emergency and restoration projects from start to finish - driving revenue while ensuring quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You'll assess sites, prepare estimates, and act as the main point of contact for clients, adjusters, and consultants. Representing BELFOR with professionalism, you'll build strong relationships and deliver successful project outcomes that restore homes, businesses, and communities.

What You'll Do

• Manage restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety, timelines, and budgets are met.
• Assess damage, prepare accurate estimates, floor plans, and documentation using Xactimate and other platforms.
• Secure work authorizations, deposits, permits, and inspections to support smooth project delivery.
• Act as the primary contact for clients, insurers, subcontractors, and consultants, providing updates, technical explanations, and strong customer service.
• Lead site meetings, coordinate field staff and subcontractors, and maintain organized, hazard-free job sites.
• Oversee project finances, including billing, collections, and compliance with insurance and legislative standards.
• Support business development through client engagement and industry events.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies to ensure timely service.
• Mentor and provide feedback to team members to drive project success.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of project management experience in construction, restoration, or insurance.
• Proficiency with Xactimate/XactAnalysis; experience with Encircle and DocuSketch an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and hazardous materials.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract (must meet BELFOR Auto Policy requirements).

Nice To Have

• Post-secondary education in Construction, Business, or Project Management; PMP certification an asset.

Working Conditions

• Standard business hours with potential evening, on-call, or extended work as needed
• Physical tasks may include standing, lifting, walking, bending, kneeling, and working in tight or confined spaces, as well as at heights over 5 feet.
• Manual dexterity required for keyboarding, repetitive tasks, and extended computer use with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Periodic travel to job sites is required.
