Project Manager, Human Services

Department: Human Services - Social Development, Planning and Partnerships

Type: Regular Full Time

Salary Range: $103,177 to $128,969 per annum; plus comprehensive benefits and vacation

Work Mode: Hybrid; Minimum of 2 days on-site per week, which can increase based on operational needs.

Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton ON

Hours of Work: 35 Hours per week

Reports to: Manager, Project Management and Business Transformation

What you will do in this role:

• Manage all aspects of Human Services projects, including visioning, research, consultation, analysis, recommendations, and implementation.
• Lead medium to large projects to meet departmental needs and priorities.
• Develop and maintain key project documents, such as the Project Charter, Work Breakdown Structure, Change Management Plan, Communication Strategy, Project Workplan, and status reports.
• Advance projects through all phases: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and close-out.
• Support change management plans and tactics to facilitate project implementation.
• Provide regular updates to the Manager, Project Sponsor, Steering Committee, and stakeholders.
• Align work with the Strategic Plan and departmental priorities.
• Collaborate with employees, clients, community partners, and stakeholders to ensure services meet community needs.
• Create presentation materials and facilitate sessions to gather information or inform stakeholders about project progress.

What the role requires:

• Post-secondary degree in Business/Public Administration or Human Services related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Human Services sector or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year of experience leading medium to large projects.
• Knowledge of and experience applying project management methodologies.
• Experience with change management principles and leading organizational change.

Preferred Assets:

• Experience implementing organizational performance measurement programs, including data collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
• PMP designation is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of community resources/services available to Peel residents.

Work Mode & Job Location:
