A growing construction company in Ontario seeks a Heavy Civil Project Manager. This role involves leading projects that enhance community infrastructure, managing teams, and ensuring project quality. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and strong project management skills. Your new role
In this role, as Project Manager, you will focus on the leading projects across Ontario. You will be part of an innovative and knowledgeable team that will successfully implement quality construction projects to strengthen the community infrastructure. This role will manage projects, including team direction, coordination with trades, monitoring schedules, and be conscious of project budgets. As the Project Manager you will communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders and public officials, as well as manage staff for technical project activities.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed as the Heavy Civil Project Manager you will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years' experience working on heavy civil or foundational projects in Ontario, and have strong project management and technical skills. You will have a strong understanding of legal contracts, have the ability to lead a team and be a strategic and critical thinker. The Project Manager, will have knowledge of municipal and provincial design standards, and have strong technical writing skills. Finally, you will be an excellent communicator both written and oral, be able to direct stakeholders and build rapport with clients. A Professional Engineer designation in Ontario would be considered an asset.
