Description

Title: Project Manager III

Location: Calgary, AB or Salt Lake City, UT

Type: Hybrid model - Mon, Tue, Thu in office.

Duration: 1 year with a possibility of extension

Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager III to join our Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS), Strategy, Planning & Governance Team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage various projects and activities, prioritize risks, manage budgets, coordinate cross-functional teams, lead multidisciplinary projects, support governance, establish accountabilities, proactively resolve issues, coordinate interdependencies, ensure safety and security, manage tasks, and handle financial information. Strong change management, communication skills, leadership, and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Management: Prioritize risks and manage within an agreed budget.
  2. Ad-hoc Projects: Create and approve project charters and plans, assign activities, and launch awareness campaigns.
  3. Task Management: Understand policies and guidelines, manage data, and oversee vendors.
  4. Financial Management: Handle financial data, including historical spend, and ensure proper documentation.
  5. Change Management: Develop and implement change and communication plans for strategic initiatives.
  6. Coordination: Work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  7. Communications: Maintain clear communication with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
  8. Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, align objectives, and influence decisions.
  9. Accountability: Ensure project outcomes are achieved on time and within budget.
  10. Management Consulting: Provide internal consulting to resolve complex challenges and achieve strategic goals.
  11. Planning & Standards: Streamline operations and drive strategic initiatives to improve performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Engineering or MBA degree preferred; open to other degrees.
  • Change Management Certification is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and budget control.
  • Experience with large, multidisciplinary programs.
  • Excellent time, task, and financial management skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in change management and communication planning.
  • Ability to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in management consulting.
  • Persistence and tenacity in achieving project goals.
  • Expertise in planning, analysis, and cost management.
  • Experience in operational streamlining and strategic initiatives.
  • Financial administration skills, including invoicing and purchase orders.
  • Ability to support teams through transformational changes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $125.00/hr.
