Job summary

Raise is currently hiring a Project Manager on behalf of our client. The role is based in Vancouver or Burnaby, BC, with an expected onsite presence of about 2 days per week under a hybrid work model.

The position focuses on coordinating mitigation measures with First Nations under the Environment Manager, owning workstreams, and driving cross-functional collaboration to meet milestones and deliverables for a complex capital project.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years or more of direct project management experience or equivalent support roles.
• Experience with reviewing, interpreting, and working with complex contract language and documentation.
• Experience supporting high-consequence projects with strong governance, tracking, and follow-up.
• Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal English communication tailored for a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Agreement coordination: lead drafting, review, and revision of mitigation measures with First Nations and related documents.
• Stakeholder engagement with NCTL, Legal, Indigenous Relations, Environment, Finance, and external counsel.
• Project tracking and control: maintain trackers, schedules, action logs, and document control processes.
• Progress reporting on agreements, mitigation, milestones, dependencies, decisions, and actions.
• Facilitation of working sessions and stakeholder discussions to advance drafting and transactions.
• Issue resolution: manage workstreams, identify risks, escalate as needed.

• Pay Rate: $ 58.50/hour, depending on experience
• Contract Length: 6 Months

Raise is currently hiring an Project Manager on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

Working under the direction of the Environment Manager (or delegate) for NCTL, the Project Manager in this role will coordinate and drive the drafting, review, and execution of mitigation measures for agreements with First Nations. The successful candidate will take full ownership of assigned workstreams, proactively coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, advance action items, and maintain project momentum toward critical milestones.

Responsibilities

• Agreement Coordination: Lead the drafting, review, and revision of NCTL Phase 1 and Phase 2 mitigation measures developed with First Nations, including supporting plans and transaction documents.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise closely with the NCTL team, Legal, Indigenous Relations, Environment, Finance, external legal counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely input and resolution of comments.
• Project Tracking & Control: Maintain rigorous trackers, schedules, action logs, plans, and document control processes related to agreements and transaction deliverables.
• Progress Reporting: Monitor and report on the status of agreements, mitigation implementation, key milestones, dependencies, decisions, and action items.
• Facilitation: Proactively organize and facilitate working sessions, review meetings, and stakeholder discussions required to advance drafting and transaction activities.
• Issue Resolution: Exercise independent judgment in managing assigned workstreams, identifying risks or issues, recommending next steps, and escalating matters appropriately.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five (5) years of direct project management experience or equivalent project support roles.
• Experience reviewing, interpreting, and working with complex contract language and documentation.
• Experience supporting high-consequence projects requiring robust governance, tracking, and follow-up.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, tailored for a professional corporate environment.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management capabilities to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project).
• Nice-to-Have Attributes
• Experience supporting environmental agreements, mitigation programs, or related project work.
• Background within utilities, infrastructure, engineering, or large capital project environments.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model and attend offices as required.
• Education and Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline. (Note: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is considered a strong asset).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is preferred.

Additional Information

• Expected onsite presence is approximately 2 days per week to support team collaboration.
• Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
• Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”.This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
