Job summary

Lindsay Construction is seeking a Project Engineer / Project Coordinator to support the Cape Breton Regional Hospital project in Sydney. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate with site superintendents, clients, consultants and subcontractors, while handling document control and information flow.

Our ideal candidate has post-secondary education in Engineering or Construction Management and 1–2 years of related experience, with strong AutoCAD and Microsoft skills and

Qualifications

• Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant discipline such as Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience in project coordination or engineering support is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tenders and coordinate activities to ensure efficient jobsite operations.
• Plan ahead to foresee problems, arrange work, and procure materials to avoid delays.
• Develop and implement methods to achieve or improve on budgeted hours and due dates.
• Ensure the latest revision of construction documents is used by Lindsay forces and subcontractors.
• Establish project schedule and attend site meetings.

Position Responsibilities
