ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical advice to customers, regulatory agencies, and sales personnel, responding to product-related questions, issues, and problems. Ensure successful completion of customer projects. May make technical presentations at sales meetings and customer locations. Acts as a liaison between sales personnel, clients, and technical staff.
- Educate prospective customers about the benefits of FlexSteel flexible steel pipe and demonstrate advantages over competitors.
- Provide pre-sales technical consulting to Sales staff and prospective clients, including conference calls and site visits.
- Document customer questions for immediate follow-up.
- Consult during proposal processes to ensure technical information and recommendations meet customer requirements.
- Support Account Management, Marketing, and customers to understand features and value of pipelines or rehabilitation applications.
- Perform pipeline engineering calculations for current and potential projects.
- Manage development and qualification of solutions for new market areas, including testing and integrity management.
- Support customers from inquiry to installation and commissioning.
- Assist with unplanned installation and operational issues.
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, standards, or regulations.
- Prepare documents demonstrating product conformance.
- Provide feedback to R&D teams regarding test requirements.
- Participate in industry standard committees.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and seminars.
- Write clear documentation and produce technical manuals, brochures, and specifications.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Occasional travel to clients, suppliers, and sites.
- Other duties as assigned by VP of Engineering or delegate.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science.
- Professional Engineer registration is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft and online tools.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasking team environment.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, sit, talk, hear.
- Frequent travel, including sitting for long periods.
- Visual acuity for close and distant vision.
- Lift and move up to 10-40 pounds as needed.
