Job description

Agilus is recruiting for a Civil Project Engineer in the oil & gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.

A typical day:

1. Participates in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.
2. Participates in identification & sourcing of long lead equipment, ensuring Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractor support until equipment is assigned to the contractor.
3. Coordinates development of EMCAPS (ExxonMobil Capital Project Management System) Gate 3 deliverables.
4. Coordinates development of the Functional Interaction Plan.
5. Coordinates the project issues resolution process.
6. Coordinates change requests & endorses change authorization.
7. Responsible for completing the assigned work scope in line with the Project Objectives.
8. Engages the Project Team and functional resources to verify that design & construction comply with project specifications & standards.

Successful candidates will have:

1. 10-15 years of civil project engineering experience.
2. A BS or MS degree in civil engineering.
3. Willingness to work in the field at Kearl Site.
4. Experience in multiple assignments across engineering, construction, and project management and controls activities.
5. A broad range of experience and skills through various function & project assignments (multi-discipline skill set).
6. Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications & work processes.
7. Strong organizational, coordination, planning & interface skills.
8. Proficiency in MS Office suite of software programs.
