Job description

Agilus is recruiting for a Project Engineer III in the oil & gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.

A typical day:

  1. Participates in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.
  2. Participates in identification & sourcing of long lead equipment, ensuring Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractor support until equipment is assigned.
  3. Coordinates development of the Functional Interaction Plan.
  4. Coordinates project issue resolution processes, change requests, and endorses change authorizations.
  5. Ensures completion of the assigned work scope in line with project objectives.
  6. Engages with the Project Team and functional resources to verify design & construction compliance with project specifications & standards.
  7. Acts as an interface between the Project Team & Contractor, ensuring smooth transitions between project stages.
  8. Leads the Project Management Team (PMT) in applying Project Management Systems.

Successful candidates will have:

  • 5-15 years of relevant work experience.
  • Civil Earthworks experience is a priority.
  • BSc or MSc degree in engineering.
  • Experience across engineering, construction, project management, and controls activities.
  • Multi-discipline skill set with broad knowledge of design standards, specifications, and work processes.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, interpersonal, organizational, coordination, planning, and interface skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, and proficient in MS Office suite.
