Job description

Build What Matters

At Graham, one of North America’s largest general contractors, we don’t just construct buildings, we create spaces that shape lives and strengthen communities. As part of our Buildings division, you will contribute to meaningful projects across the region, from hospitals and schools to entertainment venues and multi‑family residences.

Build the Next Generation of Landmark Projects in Ontario

We're entering a period of significant growth in Ontario. Our expanding portfolio includes major transit, healthcare, post‑secondary, institutional, long‑term care, water, and infrastructure projects, with additional opportunities actively emerging across the province. Current and future project pursuits include major healthcare facilities, post‑secondary developments, transit infrastructure, and large‑scale public projects.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking to connect with experienced Project Directors and senior construction leaders from across Canada who are interested in helping deliver some of the country’s most complex and meaningful projects. This is an opportunity to join our leadership bench and become part of a team building the next generation of major projects throughout Ontario.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

We’re not simply hiring for a single project. We’re investing in leadership. Our Ontario business is growing, and we’re intentionally building depth within our operations teams to support both active projects and the significant opportunities ahead. We’re looking for proven project leaders who can step into complex environments, mentor teams, build client confidence, and help scale our business for the long term.

What You'll Help Build
  • Transit and transportation infrastructure
  • Healthcare and hospital developments
  • Post‑secondary education facilities
  • Long‑term care projects
  • Water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Major institutional and civic developments
  • Future data centre and advanced infrastructure opportunities

Projects currently underway or in planning include major healthcare, university, transit and infrastructure investments throughout Ontario.

Your Impact

As a Project Director, you will provide overall leadership and accountability for large, complex projects valued from tens of millions to over a billion dollars.

You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Leading Complex Projects – Directing all phases of project delivery from pursuit and pre‑construction through execution, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Building High‑Performing Teams – Developing and mentoring project managers, superintendents, project controls professionals, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Driving Financial Performance – Providing oversight of budgets, forecasts, contracts, risk management, and commercial strategy to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Creating Strong Client Partnerships – Serving as a trusted advisor to owners, consultants, public agencies, and key stakeholders.
  • Supporting Business Growth – Contributing to pursuits, interviews, proposal development, operational planning, and long‑term business strategy.
  • Developing Future Leaders – Helping strengthen Graham’s leadership bench by coaching and developing the next generation of operational talent.
What We're Looking For
  • 15+ years of progressive construction experience
  • Experience leading large‑scale building or infrastructure projects
  • Proven success managing complex stakeholder environments
  • Strong commercial and contractual expertise
  • Experience with Construction Management, Design‑Build, Progressive Design‑Build, Alliance, IPD or similar delivery models
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead high‑performing teams
  • A collaborative leadership style focused on safety, culture, client relationships and execution excellence
Experience within the following sectors would be considered a strong asset
  • Transit
  • Healthcare
  • Post‑secondary education
  • Institutional construction
  • Long‑term care
  • Water and wastewater
  • Major infrastructure programs
Location & Mobility

We are conducting this search nationally. Candidates may live anywhere in Canada; however, successful leaders must be willing to travel regularly to Ontario and maintain a meaningful on‑site presence with project teams, clients, and stakeholders. This is not a fully remote leadership role. While flexibility exists, candidates should expect to spend significant time in Ontario supporting project execution and team development.

Lay the foundation for your next career move. At Graham, we’re building more than structures, we’re building futures. Join a team that delivers excellence from the ground up and makes a lasting impact across Canada.

We’re proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and are committed to an inclusive, accessible workplace. Accommodations are available throughout the hiring process when requested. Please contact hiring@jardeg.com for accommodation requests.

Unsolicited resumes or candidate profiles will not be accepted and will become the property of Jardeg/Graham.
