ServcoCanada is seeking a Project Cost Controller to join our growing Project Controls team. This role focuses on monitoring and controlling project costs, preparing detailed cost analyses, and supporting cost-tracking processes.

The position involves collaboration with project managers, clients, and accounting teams to ensure regulatory compliance and efficiency. The ideal candidate brings post-secondary education in accounting or related fields, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Prepare accurate project reports, billings, and cost analyses.
• Support project setup, cost tracking, and change management processes.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, clients, and accounting teams.
• Review invoices, purchase orders, subcontract costs, and payment applications.
• Identify cost variances, risks, and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.

As a valued member of the team, your core responsibilities will include:

• Monitor and control project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Prepare accurate project reports, billings, and cost analyses.
• Support project setup, cost tracking, and change management processes.

The following qualifications are required of the successful candidate:

• Legally entitled to work in Canada and able to demonstrate long‑term work authorization.
• Post‑secondary education in Accounting, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with accounting or project cost control software is an asset.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel periodically to project sites, client locations, and company offices
• Own transportation is required
