Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Civil Project Coordinator to manage all aspects of ongoing heavy civil construction projects. You will coordinate activities, ensure on-time completion and uphold safety and quality standards.

This site-based role requires strong communication, organization, and collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to align scope, schedule, and budget.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in heavy civil project coordination.
  • Knowledge of heavy civil construction processes including road construction, earthworks, utilities, and drainage.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills for coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance for heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations of heavy civil construction projects, including earthworks, road construction, utilities, and drainage systems.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation with project managers.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution of tasks.
  • Review construction drawings, technical documents, and specifications for compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and track progress reports, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation.
  • Ensure work activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Perform site visits to monitor progress, verify quality, and resolve on-site issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including material and equipment tracking.
  • Assist in preparation of tender documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
  • Facilitate meetings and ensure proper documentation and tracking of project milestones.

Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Civil Project Coordinator to manage and oversee all aspects of our ongoing heavy civil construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating project activities, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure all project components are aligned and executed according to the project schedule, scope, and budget.

Your keen attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively, and organizational skills will be critical in ensuring that the project runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently from start to finish. With your coordination expertise, you’ll help drive the success of heavy civil projects, ensuring the integrity and safety of the construction process.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations of heavy civil construction projects, including earthworks, road construction, utilities, and drainage systems

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, specifically within the heavy civil construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction processes, including road construction, earthworks, utilities, and drainage
  • Proficiency in using project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar), as well as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance for heavy civil projects
  • Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is an asset
