QM Environmental is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage exciting and impactful projects.

Contract: 4 - 6 months

Location: Lambton Shores, ON (Sarnia, ON)

What You Will Do:
  1. Project Execution
  2. Be present on construction sites during working hours to oversee construction tasks from an environmental perspective.
  3. Oversee dust prevention, erosion controls, and environmental monitoring at excavation workfaces.
  4. Work closely with site supervisors and consultants to resolve environmental issues, following the site-specific Environmental Protection Plan.
  5. Complete administrative duties, record observations in environmental inspection logs, and prepare weekly/monthly summary reports.
  6. Manage project resources and execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with company financial targets.
  7. Handle billing, purchase orders, and all site documentation (Health & Safety, permits, etc.).
  8. Oversee project field data, employee hours, and ensure compliance with QM’s Health & Safety programs.
Client Relationships and Business Development
  1. Foster and maintain strong client relationships to ensure project satisfaction and identify potential business opportunities.
  2. Assist with the bid process, including RFPs, RFQs, and the preparation of cost estimates.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to win new business and drive QM’s growth.
Health & Safety
  1. Ensure that all projects exceed industry standards and comply with QM’s Health & Safety policies.
  2. Be proactive in creating a safe work environment for all staff, contractors, and stakeholders.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience (including co-op) in project coordination.
  • Proven experience in construction estimating and reviewing environmental site assessments.
  • Strong understanding of remediation solutions, contaminated site conditions, and environmental legislation.
  • Experience managing the full project lifecycle, including resource allocation, contract management, and financial oversight.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex environmental challenges, especially in marine or contaminated land projects.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and financial accounting systems.
Education/Certifications:
  • A degree or diploma in earth sciences, environmental science, or engineering.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist or Professional Engineer designations are assets but not required.
