Kibbi in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Civil Project Coordinator to oversee compliance with engineering standards, codes, and contract specs, while coordinating design and field activities.

You will prepare work breakdown structures, assist in cost estimates, and liaise with subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and on‑time delivery. A Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and 3–6 years of experience on large heavy civil projects are required. Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD is desirable.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
3-6 years of experience on large heavy civil projects.
Experience with foundation, piling, rebar, substructures, concrete or concrete precast preferred.
Knowledge of reading shop drawings and verifying design drawings/specifications.
Proficient with MS Office; AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and quality systems.
Ensure compliance with construction standards, plans and specifications.
Ensure project budget compliance.
Verify plans meet building codes and regulations.
Interact with subcontractors and engineering team.
Prepare work breakdown structures, quantity takeoffs, and RFQs.
Participate in preliminary and final cost estimates.
Perform related tasks to help complete the project.

What You Will Be Doing

Ensure compliance in respect of Health and Safety (prevention program) and quality system
Ensure compliance with the standards of construction designs, plans and specifications
Ensure compliance with the budget of project
Ensure that the plans meet the guidelines, the requirement of building codes and other regulations
Interact with subcontractors and other members of the engineering team
Prepare work breakdown structures, quantity takeoffs, and requests for quotes
Participate in preliminary and final cost estimates
Perform all other related tasks that will help complete the project

What We Are Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related discipline
3-6 years of experience on large heavy civil projects
Experience in foundation, piling, rebar, substructures, concrete or concrete precast is highly preferred
Knowledge of reading shop drawings, review shop drawings in conjunction with design drawings, specifications
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Experience with/knowledge of AutoCAD would be considered an asset
