Job summary

Pomerleau on Vancouver Island is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Buildings division by coordinating activities, schedules and deliverables, and by ensuring clear communication among project teams and clients from planning through execution.

With 1–3 years in construction and a university degree or engineering technology diploma, you will help deliver institutional, commercial, residential and mixed‑use developments.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in the construction industry.
• A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering.
• A proven track record of project coordination and team collaboration.
• A passion for providing exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team with project coordination and administrative support.
• Ensure open lines of communication with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients.
• Review, interpret and update construction schedules.
• Maintain and follow up on shop drawings, RFIs, material purchase orders, change notices and project completion documents.
• Review and analyze project quotes to secure best prices.
• Collect and prepare companywide project reports for assigned projects.
• Promote HS&E programs and compliance on-site with employees and trade partners.

What You Will Do

• Assist the project team with your keen eye for detail in providing project coordination and administrative support.
• Utilize your passion for client services in ensuring open lines of communication when it comes to our team members, trade partners, consultants and clients.
• Diligently review, interpret and update our construction schedules.
• Utilize your passion for organization through the successful maintenance, review and follow-up of shop drawings, RFI’s, material purchase orders, change notice quotes and project completion documents.
• Meticulously review, collect and analyze project quotes, seeking out the best prices in the market.
• Own the collection and completion of companywide project reports for your assigned projects.
• Be a role model for the application project specific safety standards helping to promote Pomerleau’s HS&E programs, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and trade partners on-site.
