Job summary

Mammoet in Sarnia, Ontario, is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the planning and execution of heavy lift and related projects. You will collaborate with Project Managers to coordinate schedules, resources, documentation, and reporting to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

You will maintain project plans, track progress and milestones, manage mobilization and demobilization activities, and assist with budget tracking and invoicing while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-3 years experience in project coordination, operations, logistics, construction, heavy lift, transport, or related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and execution strategies.
  • Coordinate mobilization and demobilization activities for personnel, equipment, and project resources.
  • Track project progress, milestones, risks, and action items; escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation: contracts, change orders, RFIs, invoices, closeout records.
  • Assist with budget tracking, cost reporting, and invoice administration.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare regular project updates, reports, meeting notes, and status summaries.
  • Ensure activities comply with safety requirements, company procedures and client expectations.
  • Support coordination of engineering, operations, and logistics to achieve efficient delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned.

Working in Sarnia, On

The Project Coordinator supports the successful planning and execution of heavy lift, transport, and related project activities. Working closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams, this role helps coordinate schedules, resources, documentation, communication, and reporting to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

What You’ll Be Doing

What You’ll Need
  • Post-secondary education in business, project management, engineering, construction management, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-3 years experience in project coordination, operations, logistics, construction, heavy lift, transport, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using project management or SAP systems is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
