Job summary

Community Fire Prevention Ltd. in Port Coquitlam seeks a dedicated Sprinkler Projects Coordinator to support the Sprinkler Division’s daily operations.

You will track project deliverables, record meeting minutes, assist with scheduling and procurement actions, and help maintain logs, schedules and risk registers while complying with safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Project management experience or education is considered an asset.

  • Computer literate; confident using various software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in or knowledge of the Fire Prevention Industry is an asset.
  • Excellent time management and ability to manage high-priority tasks while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Track status and log Project Deliverables for consultant approval, ensuring information is complete and directing compliance issues.
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes as required.
  • Assist with project scheduling and logistics as required.
  • Gather Site Instructions, Variation Requests, Change Directives and Field Changes and forward to the Project Manager.
  • Assist the Project Manager in maintaining Change Order Logs, Risks/Issues Logs, Construction Schedules, Cost & Resource Loaded Schedules, and Vendor Progress Claims.
  • Assist Site Superintendent with onsite activities including Security, Safety, Site Access, and Site inspections.
  • Adhere to company values, processes, policies, and Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
  • Provide additional Operations Support as required.
  • Perform additional coordination and administrative duties as they arise.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented multi-tasker to join our team as a full-time Sprinkler Projects Coordinator! Working directly with the Sprinkler Divisions Operations Manager and Project Manager you will support the day-to-day operations of the Sprinkler Division by completing a variety of administrative tasks. The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to progress their career into Project Management.

Objectives & Responsibilities of the Coordinator, Sprinkler Projects:
  • Track status and log Project Deliverables for consultant approval. Ensuring that all required information is included and directing any compliance issues to the appropriate parties.
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes as required.
  • Assist with project scheduling and logistics as required.
  • Gather Site Instructions, Variation Requests, Change Directives and Field Changes and forward to the Project Manager.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the preparation and maintenance of Change Order Logs, Risks/Issues Logs, Project Construction Schedules, Cost & Resource Loaded Schedules, and Vendor Progress Claims.
  • Assist Site Superintendent with onsite activities with respect to Security, Safety, Site Access, and Site inspection.
  • Adhere to and promote the companies core values, processes, policies and Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
  • Provide additional Operations Support, as required.
  • Additional coordination and administrative duties as they may arise.

  • Excellent time management and task prioritization skills; ability to manage various high priority tasks while planning for and meeting deadlines as needed.

PLEASE NOTE: Open to internal and external candidates. Local candidates only. Hours of work are 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday though Friday.
