Job summary

Community Fire Prevention Ltd. in Port Coquitlam seeks a detail-oriented Receptionist to support daily office operations, greet visitors, answer calls, and handle a variety of clerical tasks.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to work both independently and in a team within a fast-paced setting. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous receptionist or customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct incoming foot traffic as required.
  • Answer and direct all incoming calls.
  • Assist with administrative/clerical tasks as needed.
  • Order and organize office supplies as needed.
  • Assure readiness of the reception area for each working day.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Oversee maintenance of reception area and equipment.
  • Coordinate mail pickup and delivery (Canada Post, couriers).
  • Handle facilities day-to-day operations and liaise with vendors.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented multi-tasker to join our team as a full-time Receptionist! The Receptionist will support the day-to-day operations of the office by providing exceptional customer service and completing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

Objectives & Responsibilities of the Receptionist:

  • Greet and direct incoming foot traffic as required.
  • Answer and direct all incoming calls.
  • Assist with administrative / clerical tasks as needed.
  • Order and organize office supplies as needed.
  • Assure readiness of the reception area for each working day.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Oversee maintenance of reception area and equipment.
  • Coordinate pick-up and delivery of all mail services (Canada Post, couriers, etc.).
  • Responsible for the facilities day-to-day operations, such as sorting and distributing mail.
  • Liaise with facility management vendors, including cleaning, catering, and security services.
  • Handle requests efficiently and effectively for face-to-face and telephone interactions.
  • Other administrative duties as they may arise.

PLEASE NOTE:

Open to internal and external candidates. Local candidates only. Hours of work are 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday though Friday.
