Job summary

Community Fire Prevention Ltd is seeking a Service Sprinkler Fitter to join our Sprinkler Service Division in Port Coquitlam on a full-time basis. You will install, service, inspect and repair fire protection sprinkler systems across commercial, residential, and industrial settings.

The ideal candidate has a Journeyman Sprinkler Fitting ticket and at least 5 years of experience installing and servicing sprinkler systems.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman sprinkler fitting ticket required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience installing and servicing sprinkler systems and piping.
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Able to work 40 hours per week; overtime/on-call rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-field sprinkler commissioning, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on wet, dry, pre-action systems, pumps, hydrants, backflow preventers and special hazard systems.
  • Liaise with clients and supervise on-site to ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and worksites to ensure client specifications are met.
  • Ensure all work is conducted using safe work practices and demonstrate safety leadership.
  • Complete daily reports of completed work orders and activities.
  • Train and mentor other team members including apprentices and field service labour.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for Service Sprinkler Fitter to join our Sprinkler Service Division full-time. As a Service Sprinkler Fitter, you will install, service, inspect and repair Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems in commercial, residential, and industrial applications.

  • Journeymen Sprinkler Fitting ticket.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience installing and servicing sprinkler systems and associated piping.
  • Great Customer Service Skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive.
  • Must have excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) and a positive friendly attitude.
  • Able to work 40hrs per week (overtime and on-call rotation as needed).
