Description

Working for the Faculty of Nursing

Under Dr. Duan’s research program, the project coordinator will work with the Translating Research in Elder Care (TREC) program. TREC is a pan-Canadian and international applied research program (trecresearch.ca). We seek a mature, experienced coordinator to manage two research interventions.

Position Summary

The coordinator will oversee two projects measuring and addressing trauma in Alberta long-term care facilities. Responsibilities include managing project timelines, supervising research staff, overseeing budgets, and maintaining stakeholder relationships.

Duties
  • Monitor and update project timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate ethics applications and ensure compliance.
  • Supervise research assistants and manage tasks.
  • Track expenses and ensure grant compliance.
  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
  • Maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of project coordination experience in health research.
  • Experience with data management and quality control.
  • Ability to work independently and organize effectively.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in knowledge translation and dissemination.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in long-term care settings.
  • Budget and grant management experience.
