What Will You Do

Reporting to the General Manager, Terminal Construction, the Project Coordinator supports Project Managers in executing projects within the portfolio plan. This involves performing essential project management duties to ensure effective project execution.

What’s The Team Like

If you are passionate and thrive in a fast-paced environment, you'll fit in with our Terminal Construction and Civil Construction teams, which work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and improve our airport facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing project charters, report progress, and maintain communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate to identify requirements, gaps, and solutions to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, documentation analysis, and site visits.
  • Draft agendas, attend, and document project meetings.
  • Track project schedules, design, material, construction, and financial performance.
  • Support project management activities, including reporting and tracking project aspects.
  • Assist the Project Manager with project performance related to costs, schedule, quality, and status.
  • Manage small projects under guidance.
  • Develop and communicate project plans and milestones.
  • Coordinate construction activities considering operational impacts like noise, dust, and shutdowns.
  • Resolve project issues between Prime Consultant and Construction Manager.
  • Prepare progress reports and maintain documentation.
  • Assist with project closure activities.
  • Monitor schedules, estimate durations, and set milestones.
  • Work with Airport Operations to prepare operational plans and schedules.
  • Prepare project presentations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a RAIC.
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in construction, inspection, or design.
  • Knowledge of lifecycle and project management methodologies.
  • Understanding of contracting, trade practices, and building codes.
  • Familiarity with airport regulations and operational procedures.
  • Experience with contracts, tenders, and project closeout.
  • Ability to read technical specifications and drawings.
  • This role is safety sensitive; pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
Assets
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Professional designations like EIT or CAPM.
  • Experience in engineering design, cost estimating, construction, or inspection.
