Job summary

Graham Contracting, Ltd. is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator to support the Industrial Division.

You will assist with project planning, forecasting, cost control, scheduling, progress measurement, change management, and reporting, working closely with project managers, planners, site teams, and commercial groups. The role is primarily project-based with a rotating schedule (7-on/7-off or 14-on/14-off) and flights and accommodations provided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or Accounting, or related field.
  • 3+ years of industrial construction or project controls experience (cost control, scheduling, planning, forecasting, and document management).
  • Experience in pipeline is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge of PowerBi and Primavera P6 scheduling is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain project control structures, including WBS, work packages, control accounts, and cost breakdown structures.
  • Establish and manage project cost control baselines and budgets.
  • Monitor project costs, installed quantities, progress, and earned value metrics.
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports, forecasts, variances, EACs, ETCs, KPIs, and performance indices.
  • Manage critical path schedules and identify schedule risks or delays.
  • Support change management, claims analysis, and schedule impact assessments.
  • Coordinate with quantity surveyors, field teams, and project leadership to validate progress and performance reporting.
  • Assist project teams in implementing standard project controls processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to dashboard creation, project reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Complete field walkdowns and verifications for estimating and billing.

Graham is actively recruiting for a Project Controls Coordinator supporting the Industrial Division. Reporting to Project Director, the incumbent supports project planning, forecasting, cost control, scheduling, progress measurement, change management, and project reporting. The role works closely with Project Managers, Planners, Site Teams, and Commercial teams to provide accurate project performance information and support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is primarily project-based in SK and follows either a 7-on/7-off or 14-on/14-off rotation schedule, with flights and accommodations provided.

The Right Tools for the Job

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: 3+ of Industrial construction, or project controls experience in disciplines such as cost control, scheduling, planning, forecasting, and document management. Experience in pipeline is preferred
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge of PowerBi and Primavera P6 scheduling is an asset
  • Core Competencies: Understanding of cost control and forecasting - Earned Value Management (EVMS) - Change management - Scheduling and critical path analysis - Progress measurement and reporting
