Job summary

EllisDon Corporation in Canada is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator to measure project performance using Earned Value Management and support cost reporting, billing, and on-site governance.

The role requires a post-secondary engineering education and 2–5 years in project controls within a general contractor environment, with strong MS Excel and Power BI skills, and readiness to work on site in Port Colborne, Ontario.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Fundamental understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) to measure actual project performance against a baseline (cost and schedule).
• Supporting change management process by liaising with the owner, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Assisting with prime billing, subcontractor billing, and PO processes.
• Supporting owner cost reporting and cash flow preparation/updates.
• Familiarity with ETC, EAC, accruals, etc.
• Ability to create a WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) in collaboration with Project Managers and technical subject matter experts.
• Ability to analyze processes, optimize them, and build systems to support those processes.
• Ensure quality, consistency, and traceability of project controls data within the systems in place.

You as a Project Controls Coordinator will:

Qualifications:

• You have a post-secondary education in engineering
• 2-5 years of experience working in project controls or a similar capacity within a general contractor environment
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities
• Must be able to work on site in Port Colborne, Ontario

The salary range for this position is $60,000-$75,000
