Job summary

EllisDon in Mississauga is hiring a Pre-Construction & Pursuit Coordinator to drive heavy civil project pursuits from RFQ to RFP. You will collaborate with estimating, scheduling, logistics and operations to build compelling proposals.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree or Construction Management diploma, onsite heavy civil experience, and a detail‑oriented, proactive mindset. EllisDon offers continuous learning, growth opportunities, and an inclusive, diverse workplace.

• Experience onsite on heavy civil construction or in pursuit phase is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement of heavy civil project pursuits through RFQ and RFP.
• Coordinate with estimating, scheduling, logistics and operations teams.
• Write technical narratives, project profiles and resumes.
• Manage all document control for new and ongoing projects.
• Review design for constructability concerns and conflicts.
• Track and follow up on documentation or issues.
• Review RFIs and confirm accuracy before issuance to consultants.
• Organize and chair or minute meetings.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning for upcoming work.

You as a Pre-Construction & Pursuit Coordinator will

• Coordinate the procurement of heavy civil project pursuits through the RFQ and RFP process.
• Coordinate with estimating, scheduling, logistics and operations teams
• Write technical narratives as well as project profiles and resumes
• Manage all document control for new and ongoing projects
• Complete technical reviews of the design to identify and resolve constructability concerns and conflicts
• Regularly track, monitor and follow-up on documentation or issues
• Review or draft RFI’s and confirm accuracy prior to issuance to consultants, including the identification of optimal solutions
• Organize and chair or minute meetings
• Assist the Project Manager in planning for upcoming work

Is this the right role for you?

• You are a hard-working, detail oriented, organized, reliable, and a proactive team player
• You understand contract delivery models such as Construction Management, Design-Build, Alliance, IPD, and Progressive Design-Build
• You have an Engineering degree or Construction Management / Technology diploma
• You have experience working onsite completing heavy civil construction projects or experience working on projects in the pursuit phase
• You are eager to learn, grow your career, and contribute to the successful completion of project pursuits

The salary range for this role is $60,000-$80,000 CAD
