Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) seeks a Program Support Manager to lead the Enhanced CAF Child Care Program (ECCCP), connecting military families with essential child care resources and coordinating cross-team collaboration to strengthen family well-being.

THE ROLE

Under the direction of a Senior Manager, Military Family Services, the Program Support Manager will be responsible for providing leadership to a team within the Enhanced CAF Child Care Program (ECCCP) team. This is not a typical job, it’s a chance to shape the future for military families. If you're interested in leading people and activities aimed at supporting military families, specifically in relation to increasing their access of critical services such as child care, and have a drive for work that directly impacts families, we want you on our team. You will play a key role in connecting families to resources, helping tell the story of why access to child care matters and liaise and engage with your team and other teams within MFS and CFMWS to mobilize a network of support required to enhance the operational readiness of military members and the well‑being of their families. You will oversee activities aimed to support families through military challenges like relocations, deployments and transitions, specifically in relation to increasing their access of critical services such as child care. The successful candidate will bring several years’ experience in managing programs and people, and working in program development and community engagement, communications, outreach and stakeholder engagement initiatives. Your work will directly impact military families and help increase access to child care and make resources more accessible while working in a dynamic environment that values collaboration, community, and making an impact.

Qualifications Needed
Education, Certifications and Licenses

Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Family Studies, Education, Management or a related field, AND several years of experience in managing family or community development services

Other Information

This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager. Required to work some evenings and weekend events. Some travel required. This is a temporary position with an anticipated start date of November 16, 2026 and end date of October 31, 2030. As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must successfully complete a Reliability status security screening.
