Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) seeks a Department Associate for on-site service to CAF members and families in Ontario. You will stock shelves, sign sections, and guide customers with product knowledge while maintaining a high standard of customer care.

You will operate POS systems, assist with inventory, and support multiple retail services and post services to ensure a smooth member experience. You’ll work in a team-oriented, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail and convenience operations.
• Cash handling experience.
• Sales and merchandising experience.

The Role

As a Department Associate, you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You assist in the set-up of various departments ensuring shelves are stocked, and faced, and properly signed. You provide technical and professional guidance on sales and products and deal with customer concerns or complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. You assist with ordering products and price new inventory.

The Department Associate may also provide a variety of other retail services, including regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, and postal services. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine, and maintain a float.
