Program Manager - Art Studio Day Program - Wynnewood PA and Philadelphia

Center for Creative Works (CCW), a progressive art studio program with locations in Philadelphia and Wynnewood PA, seeks a full-time management-level Program Manager to work with talented artists with intellectual disabilities and a dedicated staff of teaching artists.

The Program Manager is responsible for creating a safe, healthy, and empowering environment for artists and staff, managing studio operations at both locations, and supervising all staff including Art Instructors, Product Coordinators, and Studio Coordinators. The role involves modeling professional behavior, fostering artistic development, and promoting community inclusion.

Essential Duties and Functions:
Program Scheduling:
  • Build quarterly schedules.
  • Adjust weekly and daily schedules.
  • Manage staff vacation schedules.
Staffing:
  • Project staffing needs with the Director.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new staff.
  • Cover staff absences as needed.
  • Conduct biannual staff check-ins and documentation.
  • Implement progressive discipline when necessary.
Studio Oversight:
  • Monitor daily activities and serve as the first point of contact for staff and artists.
  • Ensure quality of services and adherence to studio values.
  • Supervise artistic activities across mediums.
  • Develop systems to manage studio floor needs.
  • Coordinate with the Exhibitions manager for special events and workshops.
Site Management:
  • Assist with licensing and site compliance.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance with the office manager.
  • Conduct monthly safety drills and checks.
  • Organize studio floor plans and storage areas.
Administrative:
  • Maintain documentation and manage payroll for staff.
  • Attend management meetings.
  • Oversee electronic attendance systems and other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Four-year degree in human services or art-related field.
  • At least one year of experience working with adults with IDD or similar populations.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with computer and internet applications.
  • Strong, empathetic communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Subject to employment screenings, including FBI clearance if applicable.
