Job summary

Society For The Involvement Of Good Neighbors Inc. in Yorkton, SK, is seeking a knowledgeable Manager for the St.Michaels/M.C. Knoll Before and After School Program.

The role leads staff, children and families, guiding programming and operations while upholding safety and quality standards. You will supervise daily activities from 7:00–9:30 and 14:00–18:30 during the school year, work 35 hours per week, and start on October 7, 2026.

Qualifications

  • Experience with supervision, leadership and occupational health and safety.
  • Clean criminal record and vulnerable sector check is required.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid C.
  • Must be available to work 7 hours on school days: 7am to 9:30am and 2pm to 6:30pm on school days.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and support to the staff, children and families of the program, while maintaining and directing the programming and operations.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and safe work practices are followed.
  • Monitor the safety and wellbeing of children and address any issues relating to harassment, bullying, or discrimination.
  • Act as a positive role model to all.

Start Date: October 7, 2026

SIGN is seeking a knowledgeable, supportive, and capable Manager, who will provide effective leadership and support to the staff, children and families of the Program, while maintaining and directing the programming and operations. This role will require the effective use of interpersonal communication skills, health and safety leadership, knowledge of child development, resourcefulness and creativity, to provide quality programming and safe programming.

  • Demonstrate effective leadership, supervision, management, coaching and mentoring abilities;
  • Demonstrate time management and organizational skills;
  • Remain calm in urgent situations;
