Job summary

Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbours (SIGN) Yorkton is seeking flexible, attentive individuals to support the Yorkdale Before and After School Program. The role involves delivering safe, engaging activities for children, leading games, and helping with setup and cleanup.

You will interact with kids, model positive behavior, and help maintain a friendly environment after school hours. The position is part-time, 2:45pm–5:45pm, Monday to Friday on student days, starting Sept 1, 2026.

Qualifications

  • Training and experience in education at the early years level would be an asset.
  • Clean criminal record and vulnerable sector check is required before employment begins.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a positive role model;
  • Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming, and positive environment at all times;
  • Monitor the safety of children and address any issues relating to harassment, bullying, or discrimination;
  • Assist with the preparation of daily snacks;
  • Hands on leadership related to games and activities;
  • Provide children with moral support and encouragement;
  • Engage with the children at all times, through play, conversation and observation;
  • Set up and cleanup of activities on a daily basis;
  • Ensure that safe work practices are being followed.

SIGN Yorkdale Before and After School Program is seeking flexible, attentive and creative individuals to support, inspire and help deliver safe, engaging and stimulating activities for the children attending the program. This role will also use effective interpersonal skills to provide hands on leadership related to games and activities, including set up and cleanup of activities.
