Job summary

BGC Yorkton is hiring Part-Time Program Leaders to support youth ages 12-18 through safe, engaging, and relationship-focused programming. Shifts run after school and at 8:15 pm on weekdays, with the contract spanning September through to the end of June 2026, and potential renewal based on performance.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing activities, ensuring safety protocols, and fostering positive youth development while communicating with parents, staff, and community partners.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and youth is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Must provide and maintain a clear Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.

BGC Yorkton is hiring Part-Time Program Leaders to support youth ages 1218 through safe, engaging, and relationshipfocused programming. This position runs from September through to the end of June 2026, with opportunities to apply for additional contract terms. Program Leaders are responsible for planning and implementing quality opportunities for children and youth in the community. Duties include managing safety protocols and procedures, providing creative and engaging programming, leading quality activities, tracking participant information and attendance, providing feedback, fostering the development of children & youth, and acting as a positive, responsible role model to those we serve. Program Leaders have contact with children and youth, parents/guardians, co-workers, community partners, and volunteers. They will interact with partner organizations, other agencies, media, and the community at large. The individual must possess strong communication and leadership skills and be an active team member.

For the 2026-2027 School Year, shifts will fall within after school and 8:15 pm on weekdays.
