MacEwan University invites applications for two full-time continuing Program Coordinator opportunities in the Faculty of Nursing. Reporting to an Associate Dean, you will leverage your expertise in nursing or a health field and experience in the post-secondary sector to support continuing education experiences in the Faculty of Nursing by organizing, coordinating and implementing processes associated with program development, implementation and evaluation, ensuring adequate resources for students and faculty. You will also initiate curriculum review, engaging faculty for curriculum revision and applying an understanding of applicable legislation, while communicating program information to key stakeholders.

As a place-based institution, the Faculty of Nursing staff are involved in supporting engaged learning environments that help students achieve their full potential. The Faculty of Nursing offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, the Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing, the Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing and other continuing education credentials and learning experiences.

This role’s key responsibilities include:

  • Organizing program implementation by collaborating with stakeholders and sharing materials;
  • Maintaining program manuals and resource materials;
  • Facilitating program review and revision;
  • Facilitating the development of new educational opportunities and supporting best practices related to online course delivery;
  • Coordinating the communication of scheduling, lab resources, and clinical placement requests and requirements;
  • Communicating to students about available resources and program support;
  • Providing program specific needs, numbers and experience requirements, and collaborating with the placement team on learning experiences; and
  • Monitoring and reporting on admissions data, emerging trends, quality of programs and student satisfaction.

  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong organizational skills; and
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other related software.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a health-related profession.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in nursing or a health-related profession.
  • Experience working in the post-secondary sector is considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
