EPL is looking for a passionate and innovative Volunteer Program Coordinator to grow and sustain its volunteer program. The Volunteer Program Coordinator manages the recruitment and coordination of volunteers, supports the development of Volunteer roles, and reviews the Volunteer Program for continuous enhancements. This professional will also be supporting other EPL initiatives as needed.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Determining EPL volunteer program needs in collaboration with EPL departments and teams.
  • Reviewing, updating, and implementing the volunteer recruitment and retention strategy.
  • Continuous improvement of program based on industry best practices.
  • Reviewing, updating, and implementing both formal and informal recognition programs and practices for volunteers.
  • Collecting data to assess the success of the Volunteer Program in meeting its objectives.
  • Organizing and executing EPL's book sales.
  • Supporting fund development initiatives such as donor stewardship events, acquisition events, and other administrative tasks.
Qualifications

Qualifications :

  • Related degree with a minimum of three years of progressive experience in Volunteer management.
  • Certificate in Volunteer Management is preferred.
  • Experience utilizing contact management databases.
  • Experience in effective goal setting, action plans and evaluation of successes and failures.
  • Experience within a public sector or non-profit fundraising environment is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, manage workloads and meet project deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate change.

  • Satisfactory background screening is required for this position, which includes a Criminal Record Check/Police Information Check.
  • Subject to variable hours of work and scheduling may vary based on operational needs.

Hours of Work: 28 hours per week.

Pay Band: $41.44 - $51.80 per hour*
*Approximately $75,720 - $94,649 per annum based on a 35 hour work week.

Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary level.
