Job summary

Bombardier in Montreal is seeking a Professional Senior, Liaison Engineering to join the Aerospace Canada team. You will provide technical support for airframe and systems, disposition nonconformances, and collaborate across disciplines to meet program objectives.

You should have a Bachelor of Engineering or a 3-year college diploma in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 10+ years in MRB environments, and familiarity with Catia V5. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or 3-year college diploma in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of MRB experience with airframe structure repairs.
• Ability to obtain MRB delegation after training.
• Familiarity with metallic and composite aircraft structures and systems installation.
• Experience dispositioning nonconformances in aerospace.
• Team player with collaboration and strong communication in English.
• Experience using CATIA V5.

Responsibilities

• Support production operations on Bombardier multi-platform aircraft programs.
• Understand and resolve airframe and systems problems by addressing NCRs.
• Collaborate with Stress, Materials & Processes, Systems, Design, Methods, Quality and Operations to resolve NCRs.
• Participate in projects that aim to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve financial performance.
• Work schedule is day shift.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Support production operations on Bombardier multi-platform aircraft programs (Challenger 3500 / 650 and Global 5500 / 6500 / 8000).
• Understand and resolve airframe and systems problems providing technical support by answering Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) raised by Quality.
• Work in close cooperation with other disciplines such as Stress, Materials & Processes, Systems, Flight Science, Design, Methods, Quality and Operations to resolve NCR’s and achieve the company’s business objectives.
• Participate in projects that aim to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve financial performance.
• Work schedule is day shift.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a Bachelor of Engineering degree or College (3 year) technical diploma in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• You have a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in a Material Review Board (MRB) environment with airframe structure repairs.
• You have the desire and capability to obtain Engineering MRB delegation after a period of on-the-job training.
• You are familiar with metallic and composite aircraft structures as well as aircraft system installation.
• You have experience dispositioning nonconformances in aerospace.
• You must be a team player with a collaborative approach.
• You are flexible and comfortable working under pressure with a minimum of supervision.
• You have sound technical judgement and a practical approach.
• You have good oral and written communication skills in English.
• You know how to browse Engineering mockups in Catia v5.
