Job summary

Bombardier is hiring a Professional Senior, Engineering - Liaison Aircraft System, Operations Support in Dorval, QC. The role delivers engineering support to production aircraft and coordinates testing programs. You will work with internal teams and suppliers to resolve system issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in functional testing of propulsion, pneumatics, flight controls and hydraulics.
• Strong ability to integrate disciplines and document aircraft-level decisions.
• Familiar with design, qualification and certification test requirements for aircraft systems.
• Proficient with system data analysis and in-house software/diagnostics tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Global Aircraft Systems for production aircraft testing.
• Provide engineering-guided support for root cause identification of systems engineering issues encountered during system ground & flight functional testing procedures.
• Witness system functional testing and conduct investigations on propulsion and pneumatic aircraft systems.
• Provide engineering disposition to RNCs.
• Review functional test requirements and translate into mature tests.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders to support investigations.
• Develop good working relationships with BA departments and suppliers.

What are your contributions to the team?

Support Global Aircraft (5500/6500/8000) Aircraft Systems and responsible for delivering highly effective and timely engineering support to the build and testing of the Production aircraft

Provide timely engineering-guided support for root cause identification of systems engineering issues encountered during system ground & flight Functional Testing Procedures.

Witness system functional testing and conduct technical-engineering investigations on Propulsion and Pneumatic Aircraft systems related issues, analyze and develop solutions/recommendations and reports.

Provide engineering disposition to RNCs.

Review functional test engineering requirements and ensure translation into mature functional tests.

Interface with internal and external stakeholders to support technical engineering investigations

Develop good working relationships with various departments within BA and with suppliers.

How to thrive in this role?

You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Formal training in Systems Engineering is an asset.

You have good understanding and 5 years of experience in functional testing of Propulsion, Pneumatics, Flight controls and Hydraulic systems.

You are effective at bringing disciplines together, clarifying responsibilities, structuring complex problems, and ensuring that aircraft-level decisions are properly documented, justified, verified, and certifiable.

You are conversant with design, qualification, and certification test requirements of Aircraft Systems.

You are familiar to perform system data analysis and ready to use in-house Software and diagnostics tools.

You possess strong integration skills, in both system partner management and system technical integration.

You are familiar with Microsoft Office software tools.

You have strong communication skills, ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork and support knowledge sharing amongst team members.

You have solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with different stakeholders internally and externally.
