Job summary

Bombardier seeks an experienced professional to lead Aircraft/System Safety Analysis and compliance reporting, ensuring adherence to ARP standards and regulatory requirements. You will deliver RM&S deliverables, identify safety risks, and coordinate with Bombardier, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Ideal candidates have a strong aerospace background, knowledge of FMEAs/FTAs, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEAs) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTAs).
• Familiarity with ARP 4761, ARP 4754 and certification processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with coordinating across Bombardier, suppliers, regulators and customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Aircraft/System Safety Analysis and Compliance reports per ARP requirements.
• Responsible for Reliability, Maintainability & Safety deliverables for assigned systems.
• Identify and resolve safety issues and risks within Continuing Airworthiness.
• Participate in hazard analysis, FMEA, FTA, Safety Analysis, and RM&S certification reports.
• Coordinate technical issues and resolutions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote ethical practices and a culture of integrity and inclusivity.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Prepare the Aircraft / System Safety Analysis and/or Particular Risk Assessments compliance reports and demonstrating compliance with AWM 525.1309, FAR/CS part 25.1309 and other relevant requirements.
• Be responsible for Reliability, Maintainability & Safety deliverables specific to assigned systems.
• Identify, follow up, and resolve all system safety issues and particular risks issues in support of the Continuing Airworthiness Process
• Participate in aircraft / system functional hazard analysis, fault tree analysis, system safety assessment, failure mode and effect analysis and the final R,M&S certification reports.
• The duties will also require certification activities involving co-ordination of technical issues and resolutions across all Bombardier, Partner/Supplier, Regulatory and Customer parties.

How to thrive in this role?

• You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Electrical or Mechanical engineering with at least seven (7) years relevant experience in the field of R,M&S.
• You have a strong aerospace background, and an excellent understanding of aircraft performance characteristics, aircraft systems definition, integration, interfaces, component qualification, reliability and safety requirements and certification process of aircraft systems.
• You preferably have been directly involved in the aircraft definition and certification.
• Knowledge of creating Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEAs), Fault Tree Analysis (FTAs) and Safety Analysis is required.
• You must be cognizant of the relevant Airworthiness Regulations such as ARP 4761, ARP 4754 and the certification process.
• You have the ability to communicate sound technical proposals and work status to management, be a team player, a self-motivated person and be able to work under pressure.
• You possess a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
• You possess strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• You are familiar with a Microsoft 365 environment
