Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval, Canada is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead aerospace initiatives and coordinate engineering release, schedules and budgets. You will harmonize priorities and track deliverables across multi-site teams, ensuring governance and risk visibility.

The role requires a college or engineering degree with 5+ years in aerospace, knowledge of IT tools (Excel/Access) and a proactive, autonomous work style in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• College or Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in aerospace.
• PMP certification is considered an asset.
• Knowledge in basic IT tool development (Excel/VBA, Access) to support analysis and compiling of data.
• Sound aircraft Engineering and/or Operations experience (asset).
• Demonstrates professional attitude and superior communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management skills, foresight, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Pro-active attitude and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strategic mind with attention to detail and interest in taking on responsibilities.
• Self-motivated, autonomous and enthusiastic; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good computing skills; MS Office and experience with MS Access/Project is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Create, harmonize and track compliance to various schedules required to manage the project.
• Coordinate and track to ensure major Supplier/BA deliverables are available on scope and schedule.
• Manage priorities and the communication and harmonization of these priorities.
• Support Engineering Release (Drawings, Modsums, Documents, Service Bulletins etc), tracking and compliance to schedules.
• Coordinate multi-site activities as necessary.
• Produce governance visibility for the Project status and risks.
• Actively support the Operational Excellence (BOE) objectives.
• Represent the Engineering team at inter-departmental meetings.
• Create activity and resource plans to support flexibility strategies and reporting.
• Develop, improve and automate reporting and visibility tools.
• Provide accurate status and data for decision making.
• Manage budget for ongoing projects within the extended team.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a College or Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in aerospace;
• You are educated and experienced in project management (A PMP certification is considered an asset)
• You have knowledge in basic IT tool development (Excel/VBA, Access) to support analysis and compiling of data.
• You have sound aircraft Engineering and/or Operations experience (asset);
• You demonstrate a professional attitude and superior communication skills (essential);
• You have excellent organizational, time management skills, foresight, accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to objectives and responsibilities;
