Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Canada seeks a Manufacturing Engineering professional to plan, execute and control technical manufacturing projects at the St-Laurent Manufacturing Center. The role focuses on optimizing buildings and equipment while ensuring health, safety and environmental standards.

Ideal candidates have an engineering degree, 5 years in project management within manufacturing, strong leadership, bilingual communication, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, construction) and/or technical field.
  • Five years of experience managing manufacturing projects.
  • Strong leadership and ability to mobilize teams.
  • Knowledge of project management best practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet commitments.
  • Bilingual with strong oral and written communication.
  • Negotiation, problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Initiative and customer satisfaction focus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and control technical manufacturing projects (buildings & equipment) for the St-Laurent Manufacturing Center.
  • Find technical solutions to health, safety and environment risks linked to infrastructures and equipment.
  • Manage costs and schedule so that your projects are delivered to the complete satisfaction of your customers.
  • Establish and understand the needs and priorities of your internal customers.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication at different hierarchical levels in the Organization.
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively.
  • Coordinate the various resources involved in the development and execution of projects.
  • Enforce internal safety rules on your sites.
  • Solve various technical issues using a sustainable approach.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of team processes.

How to thrive in this role?
  • You have a degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, construction) and / or technical.
  • You have five (5) years of experience in managing projects in the manufacturing sector.
  • You are organized, recognized for your leadership and have demonstrated the ability to mobilize various teams.
  • You adopt best practices in project management.
  • You are able to work under pressure and meet your commitments.
  • You are bilingual and demonstrate communication skills, both oral and written.
  • You demonstrate negotiation skills as well as problem analysis and resolution.
