Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Professional, Manufacturing Engineering - Industrial Engineering at the Marcel-Laurin Plant. You will coordinate continuous improvement initiatives, plan workshops, and support operations by addressing manufacturing issues and leading problem solving in cross-functional teams.

The role requires a DEC or a bachelor’s in industrial engineering, operations management, or related discipline, plus 1–3 years of experience.

Qualifications

  • DEC or a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations management or related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing philosophy and principles and ability to apply, explain and teach them to a work team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate diverse initiatives that may be continuous improvement projects.
  • Plan and conduct multi-disciplinary workshops to form a project team and ensure deliverables.
  • Support operations by helping resolve manufacturing issues and lead problem solving in a cross-functional team.
  • Write project mandates and obtain stakeholder and management approval.

  • Coordonner des initiatives variées qui peuvent être des projets en améliorations continu
  • Planifier et mener des ateliers multidisciplinaires dans le but de créer une équipe de projet, engager les parties prenantes et assurer l’imputabilité de leur livrables
  • Proposer et déployer de nouvelles idées pour maximiser l’efficacité des opérations
  • Proposer des scénarios de balancement et d’optimisations de nos lignes d’assemblages
  • Comprendre les impacts des projets sur la capacité des secteurs de l’usine
  • Cartographier et faire des mises à jour des processus de l’équipe
  • Supporter les opérations en aidant et résoudre les problématiques manufacturières
  • Diriger des activités de résolutions de problèmes dans un cadre d’équipe multidisciplinaire
  • Rédiger des mandats de projets et faire approuver par les parties prenantes et la direction
  • Agir comme agent de changement avec les parties prenantes afin d’assurer leur prise de leadership de la partie exécution du projet
  • Préparer et présenter les statuts d’avancement lors des gouvernances avec le comité de gestion de l’usine
  • Identifier les risques et les enjeux en amont selon les conditions pouvant survenir lors de l’exécution
Comment réussir dans le rôle?
  • Vous avez un DEC ou un baccalauréat en génie industriel, gestion des opérations ou autres disciplines connexes
  • Vous avez entre 1 et 3 années d’expérience
  • Vous possédez des connaissances approfondies de la philosophie et des principes de Lean Manufacturing et être apte à les appliquer, les expliquer et les transmettre à une équipe de travail
  • Vous avez une bonne capacité d’analyse et aimez solutionner des problématiques complexes
  • Vous démontrez une facilité à gérer les priorités et à surmonter les contretemps
  • Vous êtes à l’affût des nouvelles tendances dans le domaine de l’amélioration continue
  • Vous possédez des aptitudes en gestion de projets et leadership d’équipe
  • Vous possédez des habiletés pour les communications et les relations interpersonnelles à tous les niveaux
  • Vous possédez une expérience en milieux manufacturiers
  • Vous êtes autonome et avez un bon sens pratique
  • Vous êtes intéressé·e par la gestion du changement
  • Vous êtes bilingues (français et anglais)
  • Vous connaissez les outils Microsoft Power Plateform : Power Bi, Power Automate, Power Apps (atout)
What are your contributions to the team?
  • Coordinate various initiatives that may be continuous improvement projects

  • Support operations in assisting and resolving manufacturing issues
  • Lead problem solving activities in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Write project mandates and obtain approval from stakeholders and management
  • Act as a change agent with stakeholders to ensure their leadership of the execution portion of the project
  • Prepare and present progress reports at governance meetings with the plant management committee
  • Identify risks and issues upstream based on conditions that may arise during execution
  • Propose and deploy new ideas to maximize the efficiency of operations
  • Propose balancing and optimization scenarios for our assembly lines
  • Understand the impact of projects on the capacity of the plant’s areas
  • Map and update team processes

  • You have a college diploma (DEC) or a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or other related disciplines
  • You have between 1 and 3 years of experience
  • You have in‑depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing philosophy and principles and are able to apply, explain, and share them with a work team
  • You have strong analytical skills and enjoy solving complex problems
  • You demonstrate an ability to manage priorities and overcome setbacks
