Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a seasoned test engineering professional in Mississauga to support ground and flight testing for a new aircraft product. You will coordinate, integrate and manage testing activities across teams and test assets, ensuring environments faithfully reflect aircraft functionality throughout development.

You will collaborate with Bombardier Flight Test Center and Bombardier Experimental, document testing strategies, track schedules, identify risks and drive continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Be part of the Ground & Flight Test Engineering group, supporting development of a new aircraft product through coordination, integration and management of ground and flight-testing activities.
• Collaborate on definition, design and integration of ground and flight testing within the new product development team including Bombardier Flight Test Center and Bombardier Experimental.
• Support definition and establishment of test assets for product development, including ground test rigs, HIL environments, flight test vehicles and other testing platforms.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure test environments replicate aircraft functionality and validate new designs.
• Document testing strategy, requirements, demands, and scorecards; maintain schedules for ground rigs and flight test vehicles.
• Review testing status, identify risks, and support resolution across all phases of testing involving Bombardier test assets.
• Assist in problem-solving for program and engineering disciplines, engaging with the IPT to determine testing strategy, timeline and requirements.
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate tasks within a multidisciplinary team.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Be a part of the Ground & Flight Test Engineering group, supporting the development of a new aircraft product through the coordination, integration, and management of ground and flight-testing activities.
• Collaborate on the definition, design and integration of ground and flight testing within the new product development team including Bombardier Flight Test Center (BFTC) and Bombardier Experimental (BEX).
• Support the definition and establishment of test assets required for product development, including ground test rigs, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments, flight test vehicles, and other testing platforms used to validate and verify the aircraft design.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure test environments accurately replicate aircraft functionality and support the validation of new product designs throughout the development lifecycle.
• Document the project testing strategy, requirements, demands, and scorecards and any other supporting technical definition for testing.
• Generate and maintain design, build, and test schedules for ground rigs and flight test vehicles, ensuring alignment with program milestones and development objectives.
• Review the status of testing activities, identify risks and issues, and support their resolution across all phases of testing involving Bombardier-owned test assets.
• Support problem-solving for all program and engineering disciplines, including engaging with the integrated product development team to determine testing strategy, timeline, purpose, and requirements.
• Interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders as part of a multidisciplinary team, coordinating the work as required to complete your tasks.

• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and the Siemens suite (e.g., Teamcenter) is considered an asset.

The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $81,500 to CAD $128,000 per year. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier's sole discretion, such as the candidate's skills, experience and qualifications.

In some cases, the base salary offered may differ from the expected range of base salary listed above.
