Job description

Iris's Direct client, a highly diversified financial services provider based in Canada, is looking to hire a Production Support Analyst for a long-term contract or full-time opportunity.

Work location: Calgary - hybrid working (3 days/week)

Job Description:

1. 5+ years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 2 years in the financial industry. Prior experience in Capital Markets or Futures is an asset.
2. Experience in implementing and supporting large-scale production systems, end-of-day monitoring, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
3. Knowledge of Commodities and Futures Trading activities (Trade Flow / STP, PnL valuation / break), Market Data Feeds, and familiarity with applications such as Openlink and XTP systems.
4. Knowledge of ITRS Geneos, Job Scheduler (CTRL-M), Windows, programming in Python, and experience supporting MQ, SOLACE, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
5. Involvement in rotating weekend support, on-call work as required for projects, Disaster Recovery tests, etc.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment and deliver to tight timelines.
7. Availability for 24x7 on-call support based on rotating shifts for end-of-day monitoring.
