Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Mirabel is seeking a Production Supervisor to ensure daily production progress, supervise teams, and drive performance across quality, HSE, and delivery targets. The role focuses on coordinating ground operations, managing overtime, and guiding manufacturing staff.

The incumbent will lead by example, promote skill development, and participate in daily follow‑up meetings, with emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a high-tech aerospace

Qualifications

DEC or DEP in a relevant discipline.
Minimum 3 years of team management experience in aerospace or high‑tech manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily operations to ensure shift targets are met.
Coordinate the work of production teams on the ground.
Ensure productivity and efficiency targets are met.
Track indicators (on-time delivery, scrap rates, machine downtime).
Prioritize follow‑up on production progress when needed.
Ensure smooth transitions between shifts and reassign employees as required.
Identify areas for improvement and coordinate resources for effective production.
Guide and supervise manufacturing employees, ensuring rules and hours paid are observed.
Manage schedule changes, overtime and absences.
Support quality, continuous improvement, Health, Safety & Environment efforts.

Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major components for landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the‑art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot blasting, and surface treatments.

The supervisor is responsible for ensuring the progress of production activities to ensure team efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

Monitor daily operations of their shift to ensure teams meet performance targets in production planning, quality, HSE, etc.
Coordinate the work of production teams on the ground
Ensure productivity and efficiency targets are met
Track indicators (on-time delivery, scrap rates, machine downtime…)
If necessary, prioritize follow‑up on production progress
Ensure the transition between the previous and following shifts and, if needed, reassign employees
Identify and anticipate problematic situations or areas for improvement and coordinate resources to ensure effective production
Guide, support, and supervise manufacturing employees (compliance with rules, communication, annual evaluations, approval of hours to be paid, etc.)
Manage schedule changes, overtime, absences, etc.
Support and participate in quality, continuous improvement, Health, Safety, and Environment efforts (IGP, 5S, risk analyses)
Promote the development of manufacturing employees' skills, including newcomers
Lead and participate in daily production follow‑up team meetings (QRQC, …)

Requirements
