Safran is hiring at its Mirabel, Canada facility to polish attachment points on landing gear components using air-powered tools. The role emphasizes precision, reading drawings, and quality documentation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Polish attachment points of main landing gear components using air-powered hand tools or semi-automatic equipment according to specifications.
• Prepare parts and perform assembly on equipment if necessary.
• Inspect parts with measuring instruments to ensure specifications are met.
• Document quality assurance activities and contribute to continuous improvement of safety, quality, costs, and on-time deliveries.

It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

You will perform, using air-powered hand tools or semi-automatic equipment, the polishing of attachment points of the main landing gear components according to specifications. These operations require a high level of precision to create the exact dimensions to accommodate other mechanical parts afterwards.

You Will Also Be Required To

• prepare the part and, if necessary, perform assembly on the equipment
• inspect parts using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
• complete the appropriate quality assurance documentation
• contribute to the continuous improvement of operations and achieving objectives in terms of safety, quality, costs, and on-time deliveries

Requirements

Evening shift: Monday to Thursday from 2:20 PM to 12:20 AM

Note: Depending on the collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (day, evening, night, or weekend)

• The salary for this position starts between $27.85 and $37.87 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progression in acquiring job-related skills, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $42.04.
• $1.30/hr bonus
