Job summary

Prime Management Group Inc. is partnering with a client to recruit a Production Supervisor for a new midnight shift in Ingersoll, Ontario.

You will lead a highly automated manufacturing floor, establish daily routines, and drive safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement from the start. You will launch operations, supervise staff, conduct daily meetings, and partner with maintenance to resolve issues while tracking performance and ensuring compliance with customer requirements and

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead daily meetings, coach employees, and drive safety.
• Willingness to work the midnight shift and overtime during launch ramp-up.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 or environmental management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule production employees to meet output and quality targets.
• Lead daily production meetings, communicating priorities, performance results, and safety concerns.
• Train and coach employees on production methods, equipment, policies, and safe work practices.
• Promote a safe workplace by identifying hazards and maintaining housekeeping and equipment readiness.
• Collaborate with maintenance to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime.
• Ensure daily process audits are completed and address quality issues to meet customer requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Provide fair, consistent performance feedback and work with management to address concerns.
• Maintain attendance, payroll inputs, training records, and production reports.
• Support production changes, new projects, and cost management within your area.

Prime Management Group is partnering with our preferred client to recruit a Production Supervisor for its new midnight shift in its manufacturing organization, in Ingersoll, Ontario.

This is an opportunity to help launch operations in a highly automated manufacturing facility and shape how a new shift works from the start. You will lead employees on the production floor, establish effective daily routines, and drive results in safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

The opportunity

• Work with automated manufacturing equipment in a steel processing environment.

• Earn an annual salary of $90,000–$98,000.

What you’ll do

• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule production employees to meet output and quality targets.
• Lead daily production meetings, communicating priorities, performance results, and safety concerns.
• Train and coach employees on production methods, equipment, policies, and safe work practices.
• Promote a safe workplace by identifying hazards, addressing concerns, and maintaining housekeeping and equipment readiness standards.
• Work closely with maintenance to resolve equipment issues, document downtime, and minimize production interruptions.
• Ensure daily process audits are completed and address quality issues to meet customer requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste, improve efficiency, and identify cost savings.
• Provide fair, consistent performance feedback and work with management and Human Resources to address employee concerns.
• Maintain accurate attendance, payroll inputs, training records, and daily and monthly production reports.
• Support production changes, new projects, and cost management within your area.

What you bring

• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to set clear expectations, coach employees, and hold teams accountable.
• Practical knowledge of production processes, equipment, scheduling, and quality requirements.
• Experience leading shop-floor Kaizen activities and familiarity with 5S and World Class Manufacturing initiatives.
• Knowledge of Ontario occupational health and safety requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence maintaining accurate production records.
• Supervisory or management training and/or directly related experience.
• Availability to work the midnight shift and significant overtime during launch and ramp-up.

Experience with greenfield launches, plant expansions, manufacturing automation, or steel processing would be a strong asset. Familiarity with IATF 16949 and environmental management systems would also be valuable.
