Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead our Whitby, Ontario manufacturing operation and help drive the next stage of growth. You will supervise multiple shifts, coach supervisors, ensure safety, quality and productivity, and partner with maintenance, quality and continuous improvement teams.

You bring 5+ years of manufacturing leadership, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a track record of developing people in fast-paced settings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing or production leadership experience.
• Experience managing production supervisors and hourly employees in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning and performance management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze production data and translate it into improvements.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
• Experience in 24/7 or rotating-shift environments is an asset.
• Post-secondary education in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering or related field is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Production Supervisors and hourly teams across multiple shifts, creating a culture of safety, accountability and teamwork.
• Own day-to-day production performance, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and productivity targets.
• Plan labour with supervisors and keep production moving.
• Coach and develop leadership team, building skills and confidence.
• Monitor KPIs and turn data into action to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Be visible on the floor, identify issues early and resolve problems at the source.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, HSE and Continuous Improvement to improve equipment and processes.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve flow.
• Ensure teams follow policies, safe work practices, quality standards and SOPs.
• Support employee engagement, training, performance management and workforce development.
• Help build a strong pipeline of talent and develop future production leaders.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
